This is a list of books and articles that I have found
interesting in my research on the life and needlework of Mary Queen of Scots.
Included are books on symbols and ciphers that I found useful in interpreting
her needlework, as well as books on her life, on the places she lived, on the
people she was related to and associated with, on costume of the era and on the
Tudor Era in England in general. Some of these books are out of print, but I
still list them because you can generally find them through interlibrary loan.
For purchases, contact Ruth Kern,
or go to The Advanced Book Exchange,. If
you have a book that I've missed, please email
me! As you can see, this has become a collection addiction for me!!
