Stitch
this stitch in horizontal rows as I have it numbered. Sometimes it is difficult
to get back to put the tie stitch in if you leave it till later. You can do this
in one or two colors. The top of my sample is worked in one color and the bottom
is worked in two colors. When you work it in two colors, it has a striking
striped effect. When working in two colors, you will need to use two needles,
but the finished effect is worth the aggravation. This is a good stitch for
items that get wear, such as an eyeglass case. It also compensates well, so it
is a good stitch to use in odd-shaped areas. This stitch covers well, so try it
with some novelty threads.
