Silk
Shading from the Royal School of NeedleworkThe Royal School of Needlework has used their own method of realistic silk shading since the time of Queen Victoria. This program is a series of step-by-step slides and samples of completed work showing exactly how this exquisite technique is achieved.
Optional: Students can bring Congress cloth or muslin mounted on a 6" x 6" stretcher bars or a 5" hoop, and three shades of any color cotton floss to try the technique. If you do this, teacher will bring appropriate needles.
