| Class Description: | Use found objects and appliqué to embellish your needlework! Imagine a reference notebook of tips, tricks and techniques to enhance your projects. In this class, you will make just such a notebook, which will include various “found object” techniques such as sewing-on, setting and needleweaving for covering and attaching buttons, baubles and beads, and all sorts of unusual objects. You will work with attachment techniques for a variety of sizes of beads, as well as stringing beads for special effects, and you’ll even learn when it’s okay to use G-L-U-E! You will experiment with different kinds of appliqué to add texture and dimension to your finished piece. Best of all, you’ll have a finished project at the end of class! |
