| Class Description: | Essentially a stitch sampler, Color on Color is a class on color theory disguised as a project. Worked on red 18 ct. canvas, the student will learn how to work with optical mixing, simultaneous contrast and successive contrast using bright, chromatic colors (blue, yellow, green, violet and red). Stitches will include laid filling stitches, darning patterns, and layered stitches. In each section, the student will have a selection of threads and can duplicate the teacher’s solution to the color problem or create her own. The student will have the security of structured design decisions. Kit includes 18 ct. mono canvas, ThreadworX overdyed pearl #8, and a selection of the following threads in four colors: ribbon floss, Neon Rays +, Impressions, Kreinik metallic and Kreinik metallics. |
